Had I know a little Frisbee toss would have turned into "Ultimate Frisbee", I probably would have dressed accordingly. Nevertheless, this mixed media of an outfit gave me energy to sprint, jump, and fly my team to a . . . tie.

The Girl in Stripes.

One of my very favorite Christmas presents this year was this print by Elizabeth Mayville. I was drawn to the gorgeous simplicity; not to mention that the artist is a Michigan native! 

It's proudly hanging in our office on one of my favorite walls in the house.

On more than one occasion, people have seen it on the wall & said, "who did this painting of you?!" Golly gee whizz, that makes me smile! 

For fun this weekend, we decided to re-create another print that I have in the "blue room" [probably my favorite room of the whole house].

Getting dressed this spring has been particularly challenging. It's been much colder, rainier, and windier than I remember.

Not to mention, I am totally over my coat. 

I've found myself reaching for warmer basics in brighter colors than I tend to wear in the winter.  

Warmer weather has to be here soon. 

I'm so looking forward to dresses and shorts.

The Color Purple

I picked up this silky blouse at Old Navy the other day and almost put it back, but my sweet husband insisted that I buy it (it was on sale).

Good thing! I wore it during the week with skinny dress pants and heels and then this weekend with my new white chucks & skinny jeans. I think I like the work ensemble better, but of course I didn't snag a picture of that.
