Goodbyes are tough. Last week I headed to Chicago to continue my Montessori teacher certification. Before I left town my mom and I met up for coffee.  As I departed she sent me off with this sweet note. Moms always have a way of making you feel better, don't they?

Eight.

Today I was reminded to pray for others and to cherish every moment.

Eight years ago I walked into a gymnasium for a birthday party and met the man that I would marry and spend the rest of my life with. There weren't fireworks and I didn't know right away, but that would come later.

Today I'm reminded of every beautiful moment since that day and that tomorrow isn't always guaranteed. I'm also praying for those who's lives were forever changed today in Boston as well as other places around the world.
